Samsung earlier in the year 2010 came with a separate line-up of Blu – ray. Ray, all of whom facilities 3D Full HD Blu – Ray but that has not prevented the release of a new trio set Blu -. Samsung already has a 3-D Blu – ray, the BD-C6900. Which was also released in the experts and consumers, but is more expensive compared to Blu-3D compatibility Sony – ray
. One of the players player of the reasons for the new 3D Blu – Ray this could be.

The new Blu – ray Samsung BD-C6800, the C5900 (230 $ list price), BD (280 $ list price) and the BD-C7900 (400 $ list price). As you can vary in price, giving you more options to choose from. What you should consider when choosing the right 3D Blu – ray to fit your budget. The BD-C6800 is the average price of Blu -> Ray player. The best thing is the same as a Samsung BD model more capacity 3D, which used to be published in 2010 described for 6500 years.

The slim design approval, which are built with their televisions, Samsung has designed the BD-C6800 with the same approach. For bestThe image shows the HDMI port is better if a 1080p HDTV connected. This will give, and online streaming videos about the players and the characteristics of scale, best results in the reproduction of HD content as the DVD does not. The BD-C6800 comes with a film adaptation of the full screen. If this button is selected, it is 21:09 16:9 aspect ratio content to convert standard offer fewer distractions.

Audio Quality: The audio options to connect the
If the HDMI output, digital audio outputs (optical, coaxial) and analog audio outputs (7.1 channels). The BD-C6800 has an internal audio decoding for Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital Plus. But with the 7.1 channel analog audio output of your receiver audio / video with high resolution is to decode audio formats. This is for those who are older have great receivers.

The large Full HD 1080p video and 7.1 channel audio with studio quality reproduction available inBlu – ray is the same when playing 3D Blu – ray. But when I play 3D Blu – ray beams the player in a 3D TV and 3D glasses. There are not many 3D Blu – ray currently available at the moment but is a feature that allows you to convert images into 3D for regular movies and sports in.

THE PROS: The BD-6800 Blu – ray of Samsung is very similar to its predecessor, the BD-C6500. The main difference between the two Blu – ray is that the BD-C6800 has 3D Full HD Blu – Ray capacity. Blu – Ray 3D 1080 allow you to play.

The Samsung BD-C7500 is probably the most stylish blu ray player on the market today. Unlike traditional players it is a side loading design that looks high tech and definitely draws attention. Unlike some of the other reviewers here, I have had no problems playing DVDs or streaming video. I did make sure to setup wifi and do a system update as soon as I connected it so this may be where others went wrong. I bought this primarily for its Netflix streaming capabilities and it has performed flawlessly. The only downside to this player is that the Netflix support is limited to your queue with no searching capabilities. Also of note, Blu-Ray movies do take some time to load but this is true of most current generation players.

*** Positive Points Include: ***

- Stylish design that can be wall mounted or put atop an included stand. Definitely looks great in any home theater setup. All necessary mounts are included and the stand is great feature.
- Touch panel controls are sensitive and give a high tech look.
- Has built in Wifi so no need to buy an adapter or fuss with Ethernet cables
- Has 1gb of internal memory to store applications. Other DVD players make you supply your own USB drive to save apps.
- Perfect Netflix streaming (perhaps the other users that had problems need to check their router or network setup)
- Perfect ability to play Blu-Ray DVDs. I have tried about 4 different Blu-Ray movies (the newest being Avatar) and all played back with excellent quality. All Blu-Ray players need to be updated to play the latest content so that may be why the other reviewers had problems.
- Ability to download apps like games, art viewers, news browsers, etc. from the Samsungs app site. The player also supports Vudu, Blockbuster, Pandora, YouTube and others just to name a few.
- Has a USB port that allows you to connect a USB drive for video playback or photo browsing. I tried this with various formats and it works perfectly.

*** Negative Points Include: ***

- Limited connectivity. The player has an HDMI out as well as a RCA out but no Component output
- The display panel is built into a fancy looking glass panel which looks great but can be difficult to read (particularly if you mount on the included stand).
- The Netflix viewing is limited to your instant watching queue. You cannot search for new movies directly from this player.
- The remote functions well but it looks rather plain. A disappointment considering the high style of the player.
- The included RCA cable is a proprietary type so be sure not to lose it.
- No HDMI cable included. Why Samsung would make a high def player and include only an analog cable is beyond my comprehension. I did purchase a generic 15 foot HDMI from Amazon for less than bucks and it works great.
- The entire top portion of the player slides to the left to expose the DVD tray. The problem is that the laser lens is also exposed so be sure not to get any fingerprints on it while loading DVDs.
- The internet application menu is not customizable so you have to search through a submenu to access other web apps (not a major issue but it is inconvenient).
- No Web Browser

Overall:

I bought this player for about 0 so it split the difference between a network streaming device (Such as the WD TV live plus) and a Play station 3. It is far better than a streaming device because you have the Blu-ray player flexibility but it is lacking the PS3’s gaming capabilities and built in web browser. At around the retail price you are better off with a PS3 but in the 0 range this player cannot be beat for its looks and functionality with built in wifi.

Feature

It also has a wireless LAN adaptor included.

Allowing you to play files stored on your PC through your Blu-ray player. Your Samsung Blu-ray player is also wall-mountable.

Overview

Web content AND the latest HD video and audio found on Blu-ray discs – get it all with the Samsung BD-C7500. This wall-mountable Blu-ray player allows you to access a whole wide world of web widgets from top-notch content providers using an ethernet connection or the built-in WiFi. And with AllShare, you can even use your wireless connection to access media from DLNA-compliant devices on your home network.

Customer Reviews

OK but not real great – TC Cottrell –
The product is well made and the video quality is awsome. I was, however, very dissappointed when I opened the box to discover that the CD tray does not open on the right (which it sure looked like it did in all information available). What really happens is the entire top (very large top) moves to the left uncovering the tray. Althought this works flawlessly at this time, my past experience with electronics tells me this will be the first thing to go as the gears which move the top face moving a very large and heavy section approximately 6 inches every time you open/close the unit. Also the maximum length given is inaccurate by approximately an inch. The informtion on the web indicates 5 inch to open requried. Manual, received with unit, says 6 inches. Thus, the unit requries one inch more width than advertised to operate. For me, this means it rests against the right side of my cabinet when closed and when the top moves left it comes to rest against the left edge. If vibration or pulling a CD out of the tray leads to any lateral movement in the unit, it strikes the left side when opening, or strikes the right side when closing. Had I known all of this I would definitely not have purchased this unit.

A Developing Picture – SeibelWerks – Atlanta
I held off from buying a blu-ray player because of the ongoing development of the blu-ray standard. I am glad I did. The combination of blu-ray and Netflix, etc. streaming is awesome. The fact that prices have fallen has helped as well. So why buy the Samsung BD-C7500?

*Had to get the latest model with the latest tech. Now with deep color, blu-ray movies are as good if not better than 35mm film.
*Interconnectivity: I have a Samsung LCD. The Anynet+ device networking is just great. If you put a disk in the player, it changes the source automatically to the player and starts the movie. The blu-ray controller also works with the TV. All sorts of other wonderfulness that I have yet to discover.
*It has the slickest case and disk changer ever. Yes, I would mount it on the wall but would need some way to hide the power and HDMI cables.
*Netflix streams very well. Pandora is great. I haven’t gotton Vudu to work yet.

Despite all the media wonderfulness, there are issues.

*Connecting to the network is easy if your router is set to WPA and you broadcast your network SSID. I was using the old WEP protocol and didn’t broadcast my SSID. So after reconfiguring my router, I was up and running quickly.
*Network Bandwidth: When I 1st launched Netflix and watched a movie, the quality of the connection was medium. I had streaming issues and every 5 minutes it had to pause. The movie quality was also very pixilated. Very unacceptable. The next morning, I resumed the movie with no streaming problems but still had low quality HD. I then tested the connection on the player and it read .5mb (Need 1.5mb). Today, I tested my bandwidth on a wireless laptop and got 12mb download and 4mb upload. So it is not my equipment. I have 12mb cable service. I then tested the bandwidth on the player and got 1.9mb. I streamed a movie and the quality was good HD. So at this time, I am happy and have boosted my Netflix streaming queue. I know that cable service can degrade when traffic increases. Can’t confirm whether this was the cause.
*I did call support and found they were out of country with less than optimal English skills and very rudimentary knowledge of the equipment. Not much help.
*I also had a problem when I first hooked it up to the HDMI 3 input port. The picture and sound snapped randomly. I just changed to HDMI port 4 and it worked like a dream.
*I now have seen reviews on bad firmware updates and will turn the automatic update off until a confirmed mature version is issued. Samsung does support their equipment pretty well. My 2 year old TV has had several firmware updates.

As with all technical devices, it is not unusual to run into some glitches. Now that I have cleared up my issues, I am really satisfied with my purchase. I would recommend this to others as long as they understand how to deal with the known issues.

Good but needs work. – Roman Selever –
So, for reference, am about a week into owning and doing some initial use.
First, I’d start off by suggesting you do some googling on this model or the c6500 if you want to use it wireless. I have a dlink 825 and regardless what I tried, it would never connect to my access point, despite everything I tried. I even turned off all my security to see if it made a difference, to no avail. mind you I do computer support and have many other devices hooked to this wireless router without issue. So there’s something off about this unit, and based on my google results, many others have add similar experience with various samsung models. seems to be hit or miss, and most say calls to samsung support are pretty worthless.
I’m fortunate, that I was able to just put a switch behind mine and use it wireless, at which point, everything worked fine. the other consideration, for the wireless, while it supposedly supports 802.11N, it only supports the 2.4ghz version. which is pretty crazy for a 2010 bluray player. and i couldn’t find a whole lot out there when searching before I bought it, so I found out the hard way once I got it. It’s sad since I have a dma-2200 media extender that’s almost two years old that even supports 5ghz N, so this was a big disappointment. this is my main reason for the 3 stars, as I bought this unit specifically because it was a good price on sale with wireless built in. I didn’t want to put a switch behind it with all my other media toys.

beyond that, the unit does seem to work well. this is my first bluray player so don’t have much to compare against, but overall it works pretty quickly with regular dvds and bluray disks also seem to load pretty quick, though a little slower than regular DVDs. the picture as far as I’m concerned is beautiful. I guess I got lucky reading some of the other reviews, cause the first thing I did was disable the auto firmware update. and verify the version installed was the same listed on the website. sorry for the ones that got bit by this problem but their reviews I guess are helping others..

beyond disk play, I think the unit looks nice, I think the design and disk load mechanism are pretty cool.
as far as the internet capabilities, it’s pretty nice, though I’d say kinda slow, compared to things like xbox. the internet capabilities seem like nice toys to play with , and will be exploring that more in coming weeks. however, was disappointed that there seems to be a big difference in the internet widgets you can get for the samsung TVs vs their bluray player. Skype would’ve been a cool addition, and while facebook is listed, you just get a message that it’s coming soon or something.

otherwise, as far as a general recommendation, I would suggest, if you’re looking for a nice bluray player this one is pretty nice, if you get it for a good price…little over 100 I’d say. otherwise, especially if you want more functionality beyond just bluray player, I’d say maybe spend a little more if you can on a playstation, especially considering I read yesterday it’ll support 3D. if you’re wireless is important, I’d say do a lot of googling to see if anyone else has used this player with whatever router you have so know know it’ll work, otherwise look elsewhere.

Customer Reviews

No problem at all. Works fine with Netflix – John Traveller – Denver, CO USA
Just as advertised. Set up quick and easy. Connects to Neflix easily and much cheaper than a playstation.

As Advertised – Richard E. Moser – San Francisco CA
This Blu-Ray player was just what it was advertised to be. Set-up and connection to our wireless LAN was a breeze, internet widgets all work perfectly and it has handled a wide range of audio and video sources to perfection. Couldn’t really ask more of it. It makes me look at other LG products with more interest.

DLNA works better than PS3 – yiz – California, USA
One of the main reasons I bought this player is it DLNA feature. I have a NAS with Twonky Server hosting my home video and some movies. This player can play majority of the video formats, inlcudes DVD and MKV. PS3 DLNA client failed on both.

The YouTube and Pandora are also very good. Together with Blu-Ray and VuDu, you cann’t go wrong with this player.

Great player – A. Thompson – Goldsboro,NC
Hooked it up to my Yamaha AV and Samsung LCDTV via HDMI works great, Netflix hooked up no problem via wireless or hard wired.
outputs 1080p to the Samsung via the AV system.

Customer Reviews

Overpriced – warning! –
I don’t own this bluray player, but I do own, and have owned, a few onkyo products in the past and the quality is always incredible. The reason I am writing a review about this is because I was just shopping around for onkyo bluray players. This is being sold by amazon, to the uninformed consumer, at $[...] over msrp. Here is the website that features this bluray player.

I got this Momitsu Blu-ray player solely because I need a Region A or multi-region player to watch locked Criterion Blu-ray discs in the U.K.. This player has the advantage over straight US Blu-ray players in that it doesn’t need a step-down converter (the current is a variable 110V to 240V): it only needs a travel adaptor to convert the 2-pin U.S. plug into a U.K. or Euro fitting.

First off, image-wise the 799 excels in providing a clear, superbly detailed picture. Of course, it helps that I’m watching fantastic Criterion Blu-ray transfers. But it is apparant that the Momitsu can handle motion exceptionally well, which is after all a stumbling block for many -more expensive, bigger-name- Blu-ray players.

The menus for the 799 are generally comprehensive. There is the expected 24fps Film Mode, as well as options for BD Live connectivity. However, the big stumbling block with the setup menus is that they cannot be accesssed during playback, and, at least in the case of Criterion BDs, the film doesn’t have a Resume function if you stop the film and delve into the setup menu. After using a Pioneer Blu-ray player, all this seems very messy.
However, the biggest drawback with the Momitsu 799 is that huge amount of noise kicked out by the unit. It is so noisy that it necessitates listening through headphones. Although this is a considerable design flaw, and one that has been rightly pointed out by numerous reviewers, I don’t find it overly bothersome because I like listening to the TV with headphones anyway.

The Momitsu is a good, compact, variable current Blu-ray player. If you can live with the huge amount of noise the unit produces, then it will be a good hi-def friend. But that is a big “if”.

Versatile with great visuals! – James N Udden –
I bought this item becasue I am a film scholar with discs from all over the world. What amazed me is not just how I can get it to play everything for my research, but also the actual results with my plasma TV. It even allows a truel Academy Ratio for older films if I use the pillarboxed setting. I had heard rumors about it having a bad shirring sound. Apparently that is no longer the case. I hear nothing from the machine itself.

Better PQ than my Panasonic BD player! – Ian Nicholas – Los Angeles, CA
Yes, the player makes some noise when it’s playing. But it’s not enough to stop me from enjoying the results! The picture quality from this little machine is fantastic: even better than the PQ on my Panasonic BD35, which surprised me. But the real reason why I bought this player was to be able to play Region2 SDVD’s and Region B Blu-Ray discs, which it does just fine. The hack is an easy one, performed with the remote control, and if this is going to be your dedicated Region-B player, you only need to do it once and then you can forget about it. If you want to switch back and forth between regions, that’s easily doable as well, but you need to re-apply the hack before switching to a new region’s disk. Great player, killer value.

Player is Too Noisy – Mark Colangelo – Los Angeles
I wanted a multi-region player, specifically the Momitsu BDP-899 because of the rave review it received at [...]. However, that unit was sold out. In its place Momitsu offered the BDP-799, a new pared down model, which I then ordered.

I had this player for only a day before I returned it. The first time I played a DVD I heard a constant high-pitched whirring or ringing noise coming from the player. It reminded me of the sound a cicada insect makes during the hot afternoons in Summertime. It’s really noticeable during the quiet moments of a movie. Even in a cabinet with the glass door shut I could still hear it. I found it really annoying, and couldn’t deal with it after awhile. Maybe I have sensitive ears, and for some people perhaps this isn’t such a deal breaker, but I’d rather just get another player. The remote was also awkward.

The shame of it is that the picture quality was excellent, especially when it upscaled standard DVDs. I liked design and compact size of the player, too. I never got to test its multi-region capabilities, so I can’t comment on that. I hear that the Momitsu BDP-899 is a quieter player, and does not have the same noisy problem that the 799 has. I would say if you want a region free player, to pay a little more and get the 899, if you can find it.
